Bob Petrie, the founder of Grace Imaging (on the far left), has announced that Grace Imaging is a member of Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI). A leading network of members, TLMI is focused on the manufacturing of labels and packaging. TLMI dedicates its time to helping a network of members share, discuss, and discover leading innovations in the label and packaging world.
TLMI encourages these goals partly by holding a yearly summit called printTHINK and Grace Imaging’s own Bob Petrie was asked to speak at this year’s summit. Three major points of the printTHINK panel were the selection of technology, flexo vs. digital printing and color output and consistency. Speaking from Grace Imaging’s experience, Bob Petrie discussed his choices for the company.
“We have an amazing relationship with EPSON printers. Time, and time again, they have proved to be the best choice, not only for us at Grace Imaging, but also for our customers,” Bob comments on our technology choices.
“At Grace Imaging, we are primarily a digital press shop. We do offer a foil stamping process that uses plates, but all CMYK printing is on a digital EPSON press. We chose an EPSON digital press over a flexo press because of the opportunities digital allows, along with the support of our brand of speed and excellence from EPSON,” Bob said on the flexo vs. digital decisions.
“Color consistency has been a major focus for us at Grace Imaging,” he said on the panel regarding color. “This past summer we bought a new EPSON digital press. This new press allows us more printing capacity while still maintaining the color consistency and label quality that our customers look for. It’s our goal moving forward to talk more about our color opportunities through our blog and social media pages.”
In the coming month’s Grace Imaging hopes to share more as it discovers new technologies, and sends fearless founder Bob Petrie off to TLMI’s 2019 October conference.
