If you’re struggling to achieve a smooth application of your labels on your containers, jars, or bottles, you’re not alone.
One of the biggest challenges in the label industry is designing the perfect shaped labels for containers with slightly tapered or rounded shapes. Without taking into full consideration the subtle nuances of your product containers, you’ll, unfortunately, end up with wrinkles and creases in your label materials once applied.
Even though your container surfaces may look flat, take our word for it that odds are they probably aren’t.
It’s common to need labels with extreme tapers as the two represented below, and it’s likely you see containers using the label die lines below often and don’t even realize it.

But, what about containers with the slightest of curves?
Labeling containers that only need slight label size adjustments can be tricky, but it’s critical to give them the attention they deserve to make your products look high quality. As shown in the image below, the top label looks like a straight rectangle. However, on closer examination and with a rectangle (represented in blue) juxtaposed, you’ll notice that there is an ever so slight, but extremely important, taper to this label size.
