Grace Amazing Labels: Crafting a Sustainable Legacy in Brook + Whittle's Earth Day Contest
In today’s world, the call for sustainability resonates louder than ever. At Grace Amazing Labels, we’re proud to join the chorus, not just in words, but in actions. Recently, we had the opportunity to participate in Brook + Whittle’s annual Earth Day contest, an exclusive opportunity available to companies within the Brook + Whittle community. It’s a chance for us to showcase our commitment to a greener, more sustainable future alongside fellow members.
The challenge was clear: submit a creative, green, and sustainable creation made from recycled label materials or other objects found within our site. This contest wasn’t just about showcasing our creativity; it was about contributing to a movement towards a more environmentally conscious world—one that protects and supports the Earth.
As a team, we took on the challenge eagerly, brainstorming ideas that would not only meet the contest criteria but also reflect our values as a company. The result? A stunning sustainable 3-D mural that became a testament to our dedication to sustainability.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: why not turn discarded label materials into art? With this vision in mind, we collected tossed Kraft label material from production, carefully piecing them together to form the backdrop for our mural. This not only repurposed materials that would have otherwise been wasted but also gave them a new life as a canvas for our creativity.
But we didn’t stop there. To truly make our mural pop, we needed something special to highlight our company name, Grace Imaging. Drawing inspiration from our own processes, we turned to used cores from orders and sample rolls, shaping them into the letter “G” for Grace. However, we wanted to go one step further, adding a touch of brilliance to our creation.
That’s when we stumbled upon discarded foil rolls—copper and silver—that had served their purpose in production. Seeing the potential in these used materials, we carefully positioned them behind each core and around the perimeter of the “G,” adding a radiant glow to our mural.
With the finishing touches complete, we proudly hung up our sustainable masterpiece in front of our sample room—a symbol of our commitment to sustainability and a reminder of the power of creativity in repurposing materials for good.
Participating in Brook + Whittle’s Earth Day contest wasn’t just about winning an award; it was about making a statement. A statement that says we believe in a future where every action, no matter how small, contributes to a world that thrives in harmony with nature. And as we celebrate Earth Day and every day beyond, we’re honored to be a part of that movement.
